As a filmmaker, Andrea has directed a number of music videos, has directed, written, and produced a handful of award-winning short films, and was also the creator and producer on a feature-length documentary entitled THE SOUTH where she won the 45th annual Canadian Ethnic Media Award for Best Documentary. THE SOUTH is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime in Italy.  She also won the 2022 Canadian Independent Music Video Award for FREE (ft. Kinnie Starr) alongside her co-directors. She recently took home BEST ACTRESS, BEST INDIE FILM,  BEST FEMALE DIRECTOR, and many AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE for her short film Baby. 

Andrea is currently sharpening her screenwriting skills via the Sundance Institute scripting her first comedic series, and is in pre-production for a new documentary film on the homeless crisis in Toronto as well as a new short dramatic comedy set in the 1980’s.

She was the host of her own radio show called Vintage Italy with Andrea Ramolo on ITOC Radio, was a celebrated live host and emcee at the 2024 ICFF Lavazza Inclucity Film Festival, and plays the boisterous and fiery Neapolitan Maria Rita on a new TLN television series called Whip Cream.
